Brisavia for municipalities
Your trails, in every visitor's pocket.
Brisavia is a hiking app for Portugal and Spain. We propose a six-month pilot: your official trails featured and verified, a challenge every season and a dashboard of anonymous, aggregated data about the people who walk them.

The catalogue, today
- 7,776
- trails in the catalogue
- 69,494
- water points
- 148,455
- places in 11 categories
Built from OpenStreetMap, across Portugal and Spain.
The problem
Good trails, hard to find.
01
Official trails get lost
They sit in a PDF, on an old website or on a board at the edge of the village. Someone who sees a waterfall in a reel rarely knows which trail leads there.
02
Municipal apps go unused
Nobody installs one app for every municipality they visit. The investment stays in an app store, far from the people who walk.
03
Visitors arrive without information
No signal in the hills, no idea where to find water and no warning about a closed section or a sensitive season.
What Brisavia does today
An app made for people who walk.
It works without an account and without signal. All of this is in the app today:
From reel to trail
Import a route from a link, a screenshot or a reel, or from GPX and KML files.
Offline maps and GPS
The map downloads before you leave; GPS and voice prompts work without signal.
Water and places
Water points and places to visit along the trail, in kilometre order.
Walk with me
A live link so whoever stays home can see where you are. It is not an emergency service.
Diary, Story and Stamp Book
A diary of every walk, a Story to share and stamps for concelhos and districts.
Discoveries and seasons
GPS-verified visits to places, seasonal challenges and collective rankings by territory, with sums only and at least 10 participants.
What the municipality gets
A partnership shaped to your area.
01
Official trails featured
Your PR and GR trails verified and featured, with your own photos and texts under the licence you choose, and a page for your municipality.
02
Municipal challenge
A challenge every season, for example "Discover the waterfalls of Arouca", that awards a Stamp Book stamp to whoever completes it.
03
Anonymous dashboard
Walks and discoveries in your area, the most visited places and trails, by season and by month, and which districts visitors come from, only from 10 people up.
04
Priority alerts
Closed or seasonal places and sections you report join the seasonal exclusion list the app already applies: a warning on the map and no points in that period.
05
Joint promotion
A launch reel for the challenge and the trails, published by Brisavia and by the municipality.
06
6-month pilot
A fixed price agreed up front and, at the end, the decision to continue with an annual plan.
The municipality page, the challenge and the dashboard are prepared when the pilot starts, on top of features the app already has.
Municipal dashboard
Numbers that help you decide.

Privacy and GDPR
Aggregated data, never people.
- The municipality only receives aggregated, anonymous counts: never anyone's name, contact details, tracks or positions.
- No number is shown for fewer than 10 people; below that, it joins the next total up.
- Where visitors come from is the district each person picks for their team, never their address.
- The app works without an account: only people who create one and sync are counted.
- No individual data is ever sold or shown to third parties.
How the pilot works
Six months, step by step.
01 Week 1
Conversation
We choose the trails, the season's challenge and the dashboard's indicators.
02 Weeks 2 to 4
Content
You send photos, texts and the licence; we verify every trail in the catalogue.
03 Month 2
Launch
Municipality page, challenge and launch reel, published together.
04 Months 2 to 6
Follow-up
An up-to-date dashboard and a monthly summary; seasonal alerts whenever you report them.
05 Month 6
Review
Final report and a decision on the annual plan.
A 6-month pilot at a fixed price, then an annual plan. We send you a proposal with the price for your area.
Where we are
Said plainly.
- The iPhone app works and is being tested; it is not in the App Store yet.
- The Android version has the same features and still has to be tested on phones.
- Brisavia is not an emergency service. If you are in danger, call 112.
Contact
Let's talk about your area.
Half an hour is enough to see whether the pilot makes sense for your territory.
